Rothbury Residents Meet Police for Crime Talks

21/08/07

Senior police officers will be attending a public meeting in Rothbury next week to discuss local crime problems.

Northumberland’s senior police officer Chief Superintendent Kevin Lambert will be meeting local residents at Jubilee Hall in Bridge Street on Wednesday 5 September to discuss plans for the future policing of the area.

The meeting has been organised by Northumbria Police Authority and will be chaired by Mr David Brown, who is a police authority member. The meeting is the latest in a series of Police and Community Forum meetings to be held in Northumberland this year as part of the police authority’s regular consultations with the public about crime and policing.

Police and Community forums are open, public meetings which let local residents ask senior local police officers about the policing of their area - and have their say on its effectiveness. Anyone can come to a forum meeting to either have their say or simply listen to what is being discussed.

The next meeting of the Northumberland Police and Community Forum will be held at Jubilee Hall, Bridge Street, Rothbury on 5 September at 7.00pm.
